Warped Dimensions: Textural Handloom Weaving Class

Co-taught with Levon Kafafian at their beautiful studio in Eastern Market, Detroit

This 4 session course will be taught round robin style. Students will work in pairs to dress the looms, each with a different threading and tie up, with a focus on texture and dimensionality. Participants will then take turns, getting a chance to weave a sample on each loom. Perfect for experienced and new weavers alike, students will walk away with knowledge and experience weaving with a variety of structures and fiber types. All yarn is included and dietary-inclusive homemade lunch will be served each class.

Sundays 11am-3pm: November 1, 8, 15, 22
$400, yarn + meals included. $100 deposit must be paid to reserve a spot.
